Built-in Function: Computes the internal address of a storage item.
result = %LOC (a)
a |
(Input) Is the name of an actual argument. It must be a variable, an expression, or the name of a procedure. It must not be the name of a statement function. |
The %LOC function produces an integer value that represents the location of the given argument. The value is INTEGER(4) on IA-32 architecture; INTEGER(8) on Intel® 64 architecture. You can use this integer value as an item in an arithmetic expression.
The LOC intrinsic function serves the same purpose as the %LOC built-in function.
