set history size

Specify the size of the command-line history.

Syntax

set history size num

Parameters

num

The number of lines in the command-line history.

Description

This command sets the size of the command history. The default size is that of the environment variable HISTSIZE. If HISTSIZE is not set, the default value is 256.
