GFMul

Multiplies two elements of a finite field.

Syntax

IppStatus ippsGFMul_8u(Ipp8u gfeA, Ipp8u gfeB, Ipp8u* pR, const IppsGFSpec_8u* pGF);

Parameters

gfeA

The first (multiplicand) element of the finite field.

gfeB

The second (multiplier) element of the finite field.

pR

Pointer to the result of multiplication.

pGF

Pointer to the context of the finite field.

Description

This function is declared in the ippdi.h file. The function performs multiplication over the finite field. The following pseudocode represents this function, provided gfeR is the result of the operation:

gfeR = gfeA * gfeB.

Return Values

ippStsNoErr

Indicates no error. Any other value indicates an error or warning.

ippStsNullPtrErr

Indicates an error condition if any of the specified pointers is NULL.

ippStsContextMatchErr

Indicates an error condition if the context pointed by pGF is not valid.

ippStsRangeErr

Indicates an error condition if gfeA and/or gfeB is (are) not valid element(s) of the finite field.
